MILLER UNION

Weathered woods, steel windows, pantry cabinets and patterned wall coverings create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

Miller Union was founded on Atlanta’s Westside in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy. Named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied the site from the early 1880s until the early 1930s, Miller Union has contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood over the years. When Satterfield and McCarthy first joined forces, they strived to culivate a modern atmosphere with a respect for its history in a refurbished mid-20th-century warehouse that sits on the historic site.

At Miller Union, Satterfield cooks with the seasons in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest experienced throughout the year and working with local farmers and purveyors to obtain the freshest ingredients possible. Miller Union embodies an authentic approach to farmstead-inspired cooking, in which simple and rustic techniques drive the menu. Satterfield’s trademark is simple food, and his creative-yet-refined hands continue to update the region’s legendary dishes.
